Steven Berens’ Bio

As president and CEO, Steven Berens brings more than 20 years of experience in strategy, marketing, sales and engineering to Privacy Networks. He has demonstrated the ability to deliver results for innovative companies looking to address customer requirements in new, emerging and mature markets. Berens’ solid industry relationships, strategic insight and creativity have led to successful market launches that focus on anticipating customer needs and bringing timely solutions.

During his career, Berens has held key management positions in high technology start-ups and Fortune 500 companies including IBM, Benchmark Storage Innovations and Quantum Corporation. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA from the University of Southern California.

Aaron Lapedis’ Bio

Aaron LaPedis, a well-known Denver entrepreneur, brings more than twenty years of experience and insight to “Collectibles with Aaron LaPedis,” which airs on Rocky Mountain PBS Channel 6 every Saturday at 3:30 p.m. following the widely popular and nationally known “Antiques Roadshow.”

Providing viewers with both entertainment and valuable information, each segment of “Collectibles with Aaron LaPedis” details the history, value, and methods of care and preservation for a particular category of items. An earlier version of “Collectibles with Aaron LaPedis” called “The Collectible Show” first aired in May 2001. That show taped more than 50 half-hour segments, each of which focused on individual collectible items, including coins, wine, art, animation pieces, and sports memorabilia. Aaron has been a regular contributor to the Channel 7 local news, with a weekly segment called “The Collectible Guy.”

Aaron frequently speaks about collectibles and other subjects related to collecting. He is a regional and national resource for information on the collectibles industry, the subject of a Discovery Channel segment, and has been interviewed by local CBS, NBC and ABC affiliates. The owner of two Denver galleries selling a wide variety of collectibles and art, Aaron has been praised for his efforts in nurturing an underdeveloped business concept into a prominent retail boutique. He has been featured in Entrepreneur Magazine.

Ashley Kingsley’s Bio

Ashley E. Kingsley thrives on connecting people, places and things. After seeing blatant gaps and client dissatisfaction due to rising costs attached to creative services and endless bureaucracy, she launched ASHER SOLUTIONS in 2005. Ashley took her expertise, determination, forward thinking and love for the work and began accumulating clients and an extensive portfolio that continues to grow.

ASHLEY’S LIST was launched in 2005, an e-newsletter designed to highlight small business, call attention to local events, community happenings and more. Today, the list has over 1,800 subscribers.

She grew up fishing, rolling around in the mud, arm wrestling the boys and surfing dawn patrol. Ashley takes education very seriously and values her memories and time spent at Fort Lewis College in Durango, CO. Not only was it a divine educational experience it was blissful living. She lead one of the biggest AIDS education initiatives in the State of Colorado during her Junior year of college. Ashley graduated in 1996 with a BA., in Sociology.

Ashley is a published freelance writer and at one time wrote a column for The Downtown Denver News called “SoLo in LoDo” a humorous peek into the world of singles. Ashley has been published widely on the Internet, in books and in magazines. She lives in Denver, CO with her husband 18 month old daughter and two dogs.

Having first logged in to the Internet in 1980, Dave is an old-timer on the computer networks and his personal address book is a who’s-who of past and current Internet superstars. With a Masters in Education and an MBA, Dave also has extensive experience working with executives and advising corporations on best practices with social networking and new media.

His current ventures include the popular AskDaveTaylor.com tech Q&A web site and various book and magazine projects.
