Jeffrey Schitter’s Bio

Jeffrey SchitterJeffrey Wayne Schitter was born on 1776 (January 7, 1976) in Jasper, Indiana, a small town in the southwest part of the state.  Raised with Midwestern values, Jeffrey spent much of his childhood either playing sports, working for his family farm market, or hanging out with his friends.  After graduating from high school in 1994, Jeffrey attended a small private engineering school, Rose Hulman Institute of Technology (www.rose-hulman.edu), where he majored in Chemical Engineering.  While in college, he invented a candlemaking machine (and process) with which to create candles by recycling wax from old candles.

After graduating from college, Jeffrey began his professional career as a sales/combustion engineer designing and selling combustion systems in Texas.  His career then evolved into a sales management role, before he was laid off his job in December 2001.  Throughout his professional career, Jeffrey researched and developed his patented candlemaking device, and throughout that time, he engineered the candlemaking process to where he was creating better candles than he could find on the market.  After searching for a job for several months, Jeffrey realized his best option was to start his own business.  Founding the Healing Glow Candle Studio (www.healingglow.com), on the streets of Austin in the winter/spring of 2002/2003, Jeffrey enjoyed early success.  With the hot summer approaching, Jeffrey realized his business was going to suffer, and quite possibly die, due to the hot Texas summer.  He decided to put his things into storage, and to travel the country selling his wax renderings at craft shows, art shows, and music festivals in order to keep his business alive.

Having a business (aka. anchor), in the neighborhood, Jeffrey feels he is a vested partner in the community.  He doesn’t envision that he’ll ever really leave Northwest Denver, and he’s stepping up because he wants to do what is best for his community.  Jeffrey will always put his constituents’ best interests in front of all else.

Jeffrey would like to thank you for taking the time to read this and for taking interest in improving our situation.  He feels, that with your help, we can all work together to improve our own standing, and he looks forward to working with you.
